Google Business Profile

We manage 30+ Google Business Profiles across the UK for local businesses. Real calls, real direction requests, real customers, not just "views" and "impressions" on a report.

Local businesses, proper results.

Most agencies set your profile up once and leave it. We don't. Your Google Business Profile is where most of your local customers actually find you, so we treat it like what it is, a live asset that needs proper ongoing work to beat competitors and stay in the Map Pack.

Say hi
01

Profile setup, done properly

Categories, services, opening hours, geo targeting, attributes, photos, the lot. Most profiles are half-built, which is why they don't rank. We sort it all out from day one.

02

Weekly posts and updates

Fresh posts, service updates, offers, photos, all the stuff Google uses to decide you're an active, real business. Most competitors haven't posted in 6 months. That's your opportunity.

03

Reviews (if you want)

Reviews are the biggest ranking factor for GBP. We offer an optional review generation service at £49/month, proper SMS and email flows that get real happy customers leaving you reviews on autopilot.

04

Tracking that means something

You get a dashboard showing calls, direction requests, website clicks, and where you're ranking in the Map Pack. Not "views" and "impressions", the stuff that actually turns into customers.

05

Competitor tracking

We keep an eye on who's outranking you locally and what they're doing differently. When something changes, we know why and we react. You stay ahead instead of watching competitors eat your leads.

What is Google Business Profile, and why does it matter?

Google Business Profile (used to be called Google My Business) is the thing that shows up when someone searches for a local business, "hairdresser near me", "roofer Manchester", "gym in Leeds". You've seen it: the map with three businesses listed underneath, reviews, photos, directions, phone number.

That's called the Map Pack. And if you're a local business, it's the single most valuable piece of real estate on the entire internet for you. More valuable than your website, more valuable than your ads, more valuable than social media. Because the people who find you through the Map Pack are ready to buy right now, they've just pulled out their phone and searched for exactly what you sell.

If you're not in the top 3 Map Pack results for your key searches, you're handing leads to your competitors every single day.

How much does Google Business Profile management cost?

UK agencies charge anywhere from £300 to £800/month for GBP management, which is frankly a rip-off for what most of them do. We start at £99/month.

At £99/month you get proper profile optimisation, weekly posts and updates, photo uploads, competitor tracking, and a live dashboard showing calls, direction requests, and Map Pack rankings.

The optional review generation add-on is £49/month on top. That's when we run proper SMS and email flows to your recent customers asking for reviews, responding to reviews as they come in, and flagging any negatives so you can deal with them before they hurt you. Most businesses absolutely need the review side of things if they want to actually rank, reviews are one of the biggest GBP ranking factors, so we'd recommend adding it.

For multi-location businesses (chains, franchises, or service businesses with multiple branches), we price per location with discounts for bulk. Drop us a message with how many locations you've got and we'll sort a quote.

How long until I start seeing results?

GBP is the fastest-working part of local SEO. Most of our clients see movement within 30 to 60 days, sometimes faster for less competitive niches or areas.

Here's roughly what happens month by month:

  • Week 1: Full profile audit and optimisation. We fix everything that's missing or set up wrong.
  • Weeks 2-4: Posting cadence kicks in, photos go up, services get restructured. Google starts recognising the profile as active again.
  • Month 2: Ranking movement starts showing, usually for your easier local keywords first.
  • Month 3 and beyond: The competitive ones start moving. Call volume climbs, direction requests go up, real booking enquiries start landing.

Local SEO is the fastest ROI work we do. For most service businesses, GBP management pays for itself several times over within 90 days. If it doesn't, something else is wrong (usually the website, or a poor-quality profile history) and we'll tell you straight.

How we actually manage your GBP

Profile infrastructure

First thing we do is audit everything on your current profile. Categories (primary and secondary), services list, service area, opening hours, attributes, photos, posts, reviews, Q&A, the lot. Most profiles have basic stuff wrong that's actively hurting rankings, incorrect primary category, missing services, incomplete descriptions, photos from 2019. We fix all of it.

Then we structure everything properly: categories mapped to what you actually sell, services broken out into individual listings, opening hours aligned to what Google expects, geographic targeting set up for your real service area.

Weekly posts and fresh content

Google rewards active profiles. Businesses that haven't posted in 6 months slide down the rankings, it's that simple. We publish weekly posts, service updates, offers, event announcements, whatever makes sense for your business. Fresh photos get uploaded regularly so the profile doesn't look dated.

Review strategy (if you add the review service)

At £49/month extra, we run your review generation properly. After a customer uses your service, they get an automated SMS and email asking for a review with a one-tap link straight to your Google profile. No friction, no manual chasing.

We also respond to every review (good and bad) within 24 hours. Google watches response rate and speed, both ranking signals. A business that replies to every review looks way more credible than one that ignores them.

Competitor tracking

We track your top 5 local competitors weekly. Rankings, reviews, posting activity, photos, new services they add. If someone starts pulling ahead of you, we know why and can react. If we spot an opportunity (a competitor who's stopped posting, for example), we press harder on the things that'll let you overtake them.

Reporting that actually tells you something

You get a dashboard with: Map Pack ranking position for your key search terms, total calls from the profile, direction requests, website clicks, photo views, and monthly movement trends. No vanity metrics, just the stuff that matters for local businesses.

GBP for specific industries

We manage profiles across a load of UK local business types. A few we've got particular experience with:

  • Hair and beauty salons, booking-driven, review-heavy, review service practically mandatory
  • Tradespeople (roofers, plumbers, electricians, builders), service-area businesses where geo targeting is everything
  • Health clinics and practitioners, trust signals critical, reviews and photos massively affect conversion
  • Gyms and fitness studios, high local competition, video posts work really well
  • Hospitality (cafes, restaurants, venues), photo-driven, opening hours accuracy matters more than anything
  • Professional services (accountants, solicitors, consultants), reviews and Q&A do the heavy lifting

Don't see your industry? We've worked with loads more. Drop us a message and we'll tell you what works for your type of business.

Multi-location and franchise GBP management

If you've got more than one location, GBP management gets way more complex fast. Each profile needs its own strategy, its own reviews, its own posting cadence, its own competitor tracking. Doing this properly for 5, 10, 50 locations is a serious operational job.

We handle multi-location setups for chains and franchises. Each location gets individual attention (no cookie-cutter posts), and you get a consolidated dashboard showing performance across all profiles, plus which locations are winning and which need more attention. We're happy to work with your head office team or directly with each location manager, whichever structure fits.

Common GBP questions we get

Will you guarantee I'll rank in the top 3?

No, and neither should anyone else. Google controls the Map Pack, not us. What we can guarantee is proper work done consistently, which is what actually moves rankings. Most clients do end up in the top 3 for their core searches within a few months, but claiming guarantees would be dishonest.

Can you help if my profile's been suspended?

Sometimes. We can look at what happened and try to reinstate it. Google's review process is opaque and slow, and we can't guarantee they'll unsuspend it. If it's unrecoverable, we'll help you set up a new profile properly so it doesn't happen again.

Do I need a website for GBP to work?

Ideally yes. A lot of GBP ranking comes from signals around your business online, website quality, NAP consistency (name, address, phone across the web), backlinks, citations. If you don't have a website or it's in bad shape, we can fix that too, see our website design service.

What if I already have reviews on another platform (Trustpilot, Facebook, Yelp)?

Great, that helps your overall reputation, but Google mostly cares about Google reviews for GBP ranking. We'll still want to build your Google review count up specifically if you want to rank in the Map Pack.

Is there a contract?

Rolling monthly, 7 days' notice to cancel. No long lock-ins. You stay because it's working, not because you're stuck.

Do you do the review responses, or do I?

We do them, as part of the review service. We write the responses in your brand voice, flag anything that needs your input (bad reviews that need a real answer), and handle everything within 24 hours.

Ready to actually dominate your local searches?

If you're a local business and you're not in the top 3 of the Map Pack for your key searches, you're losing leads every single day. Drop us a message and we'll do a free audit of your current profile, tell you what's wrong, and give you a straight answer on what it'd take to fix it.
